"This is yet another example of the housing authority's failure to ensure that federal tax dollars are spent wisely to actually provide housing to the poor," said Republic Senator Charles Grassley.
What Grassley is referring to is the Tampa Housing Authority's recent purchase of a PR-related article in a local newspaper. Spending tax dollars on good press is, in his opinion, deplorable. It is certainly a breach of ethics for a magazine to promote sponsors without disclosing their financial relationship.
